Soba Teahouse Kirakuan
Enjoy an exceptionally flavorful juwari soba with a relaxing atmosphere.Carefully selected ingredients
Kirakuan's juwari soba (soba noodle made from 100% buckwheat flour) is rich in flavor and texture. They grind the buckwheat grains grown locally in Yatsugatake with a large millstone. The dipping sauce is made from the high quality fermented dried bonito to create perfect harmony.
Spacious table layout
There are only four tables in Kirakuan, allowing you to enjoy your soba without being too close to other customers.
Proud to serve Shinshu juwari soba
Kirakuan uses buckwheat grown locally at the elevation of 1,000m in Yatsugatake. They grind the grains slowly with a large millstone to make the coarse grind flour packed with flavors. This is why Kirakuan's soba has both rich aroma and texture.
Soba Zukushi
If you want to experience Kirakuan's soba fully, you should order Soba Zukushi. Soba Yuzen and Shichifuku Oroshi Soba are also recommended.
Soba kaiseki dinner
Kirakuan mainly serves lunch, but they also serve soba kaiseki dinner (by reservation only for a group of more than three people). Please try the traditional multi-course Japanese dinner served with soba.
Message from Owner
I am very passionate about serving the very best juwari soba made with fresh and local ingredients in all seasons. Our soba dipping sauce is a perfect combination of fermented dried bonito broth, soy sauce made from soybeans grown in Japan, and organic sweet sake. Please come to Kirakuan to experience the delectable harmony of our soba and sauce.
