Yatsugatake Area

The Yatsugatake Mountains are some of the tallest mountain ranges in Japan. One of the best trails from Fujimi is hiking Mt. Amigasa and Mt. Nishidake from Fujimi Kogen resort area. This route can be enjoyed as a day trip by all hikers with beautiful sceneries, alpines flowers, and well-maintained trail.

The round-shaped Mt. Amigasa is the southernmost mountain of Yatsugatake Mountain ranges. You can enjoy a spectacular panorama from the summit with nothing to block the view since it is covered with rocks.

Mt. Nishidake is located next to Mt. Amigasa on the northwest side. From the stone monument enshrined on top of Mt. Nishidake, you can see the glimpse of how people have worshipped this mountain. You can admire many alpine flowers blooming on Mt. Nishidake along with the stunning view from the summit.
