Soba Kikyoya
The luxury of tasting locally grown and freshly made juwari soba with the incredible view of the Southern AlpsEnjoy the fresh local ingredients
Located on the border of Fujimi and Kobuchisawa town, Kikyoya has a stunning view of Mt. Kaikoma and the other Southern Alps mountains. Every day, the female chef makes juwari soba by hands using the high-quality buckwheat grains purchased directly from the local farmers.
Japanese sweets
After soba, try their delicious desserts such as sweet black soybean soup with buckwheat dough ball or buckwheat tea creme brulee.
Kikyoya means "happy soba in Yatsugatake."
The foot of Yatsugatake at high altitudes is a perfect place to grow buckwheat. Buckwheat loves Yatsugatake’s morning mist created by the significant temperature difference during morning and night. This is why the owner named the restaurant Kikyoya, meaning "happy soba in Yatsugatake."
The incredible view of the Southern Alps
Tasting soba while admiring Mt. Kaikoma against the backdrop of clear blue sky is a true luxury.
