This tour takes you to stroll the Shingen-no-Bomichi military road and Hachimaki trail surrounded by the golden larch trees in autumn.
The highlights of this tour are Yodobashi Camera Sports Center filled with red leaves and camping site carpeted with yellow ginkgo leaves. As you walk along the trails, you will encounter the deity’s stone, large Japanese bush spruce, great views of Mt. Fuji and Southern Alps. The sceneries here are so beautiful that you will feel as if you were inside of a painting.

Ceremony plaza
Fallen leaves, the sound of the wind, blue sky, and birds singing—everything about this place is breathtakingly beautiful. Blunt-lobed spicebush and ginkgo leaves transform the ground in autumn colors.
Deity’s stone
This trail was originally a military road of Takeda Shingen, one of the most famous warlords in Japan. This deity’s stone was the landmark on this the military road. On top of the stone, there is a small buddha facing Yatsugatake Mountains.

Japanese bush spruce
It is a rare species of pine tree growing in Yatsugatake and northern part of the Southern Alps at the elevation of 1,000 m to 2,000 m. It is estimated that there are only 1,000 trees of Japanese bush spruce left in Japan.

Traditional Nagano style soba restaurant serving the handmade soba using local whole grain buckwheat. Here, you can take a soba cooking class and purchase Nagano’s specialties, freshly harvested vegetables, and flowers.
Hienosoko Village
Approximately until 300 years ago, people lived in Hienosoko village cherishing the crystal clear spring running from Yatsugatake mountain through this village. Currently what remains of this ancient village are the traces of people drawing water and small stone shrines.
