Town loved by many writers and poets

This museum introduces literary figures who fell in love with Fujimi town. Many of them often visited Fujimi since the Meiji Period (1868-1912) and wrote about this beautiful country town in their literature, poem, and haiku. The museum exhibits many poems by Araragi poets such as Sachio Ito, Mokichi Saito, and Akahiko Shimaki.
* Araragi is the name of the leading magazine of tanka (Japanese short poem) active from 1908 to 1997.
