What to see around here
Gondola Sancho Station
The gondola lift will take you high up in the mountain. Children especially love the ride! During this pleasant journey, enjoy the breathtaking panoramas of Yatsugatake lushly green in spring and summer or ablaze with colors in autumn.
Nyukasa Suzuran Park
In the flower garden right outside of Gondola Sancho Station, you can admire 200,000 German lilies of the valley, rare Kamanashi large-flowered lady's slippers, and many other alpine flowers.
Mt. Nyukasa summit
At the top of Mt. Nyukasa with the elevation of 1,955m, you can enjoy the stunning panoramas of Yatsugatake, Okuchichibu Mountain, Mt. Fuji, Mt. Kaikoma and Senjou Dake Mountain of the Southern Alps, Mt. Utsugi and Mt. Kisokoma of the Central and Northern Alps.
Nyukasa Marsh with lilies of the valley
One million blooming Japanese lilies of the valley fill Nyukasa Marsh. Nyukasa Marsh is called the treasure trove of flowers, attracting many visitors to admire alpine flowers from May to September.
Oahara Marsh
This is a geologically important marsh located at the southernmost tip of the high moor distribution map. Oahara Marsh has approached the elderly phase of a marsh, dry with accumulated moss peat. This is also indicated by the growing number of Siebold's crabapples, white birch trees, and carnivorous plants caused by the lack of soil nutrition.
soft-serve ice cream
Fujimi is famous for its red rhubarb, which gives this soft-serve ice cream a delectable tangy flavor.
